When should Tofabrint 5mg tablets not be used?

You should not use Tofabrint 5 mg if you are allergic to any of its ingredients, have a severe infection, bloodstream infection, active tuberculosis, or severe liver problems like cirrhosis. Avoid this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Inform your doctor if you have an infection or symptoms thereof, any condition predisposing to infections, are taking immunosuppressive medications, have a history of tuberculosis or recent exposure to it, chronic lung disease, liver disease including hepatitis B/C, cancer, increased risk of skin cancer, inflammation or ulcers of the large intestine, kidney problems, planning vaccinations, heart issues, high cholesterol, hypertension, previous heart attack, diabetes, or blood clotting disorders. Refrain from using Tofabrint 5 mg Tablet if your white blood cell or red blood cell counts are low. This medication is not suitable for children under 18 years old due to lack of established safety and efficacy. Keep your doctor informed about your health status and current medications to prevent potential adverse effects.


What medications interact with Tofabrint 5mg tablets?

Tofabrint 5 mg Tablets may interact with antibiotic (rifampicin), anti-fungal (fluconazole, ketoconazole), immunosuppressant (azathioprine, mercaptopurine, cyclosporine, tacrolimus), corticosteroids (prednisone).

How should Tofabrint 5mg tablets be used?

You should take your Tofabrint 5mg tablets as directed by your physician with or without food. Do not chew or break it.

You should continue to take tofabrint 5mg tablets for as long as recommended by your physician.
