Jardiance tablets contain the antihyperglycaemic medication, empagliflozin 25mg to improve control over blood sugar levels.

The addition of Januvia to a diabetes management plan of dietary improvements and regular exercise helps to improve the health outcomes for diabetics who have a shorter life expectancy.

Empagliflozin belongs to the gliflozin group of medications that work by inhibiting the reabsorption of glucose by the kidney. Blood glucose levels are reduced and there is increased glucose excretion in the urine. Often there is a reduction in body weight and reduced blood pressure because of the actions of empagliflozin resulting in improved blood glucose control.
